Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MDE Care website (https://mdecare.co) and the medical tourism facilitation services provided by MDE Care SAS, a company duly registered in Medellín, Colombia under the Registro Nacional de Turismo (RNT). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

About MDE Care

MDE Care SAS is a medical tourism agency that connects international patients with certified specialists and accredited clinics in Medellín, Colombia. We act as a facilitator and information hub; we are NOT a medical provider, hospital, clinic, or healthcare insurer. All medical treatments, procedures, diagnoses, and clinical decisions are the sole responsibility of the licensed healthcare providers and clinics that perform them.

Acceptance of Terms

By browsing the Site, contacting us, or using any of our services (consultation, doctor matching, appointment scheduling, logistics support), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms applicable to specific services. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. By using the Site you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is true, accurate, and complete.

Services Provided

MDE Care provides the following non-medical facilitation services:

  • Information about medical specialties, procedures, doctors, and clinics in Medellín.
  • Personalized consultations to help international patients choose a clinic and specialist.
  • Coordination of medical appointments, second opinions, and quotes.
  • Optional logistical support: airport pickup, accommodation suggestions, translation, and post-procedure follow-up coordination.

We do NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptions. Any medical information shared on the Site or by our staff is for general orientation only and must not be used as a substitute for professional medical consultation.

Medical Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

All medical procedures involve risks. The choice of treatment, clinic, and specialist is YOUR sole decision, made in consultation with the healthcare provider you select. MDE Care SAS does not perform medical procedures and does not guarantee any specific medical outcome. We are not liable for:

  • Medical malpractice, errors, or complications by clinics or specialists.
  • Adverse outcomes, side effects, or reactions to treatments.
  • Disputes between you and the healthcare provider.
  • Decisions made or actions taken based on information from the Site.

To the maximum extent permitted by Colombian law, MDE Care SAS' total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you have paid (if any) directly to MDE Care for facilitation services, excluding any payments made to clinics, doctors, or third parties.

Patient Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Disclose accurately and completely your medical history, current conditions, medications, and allergies to the healthcare provider.
  • Follow pre- and post-procedure instructions provided by the clinic.
  • Obtain valid travel documentation (passport, visa, travel insurance) before your trip.
  • Pay clinics and providers directly for medical services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Fees and Payments

The initial personalized consultation with MDE Care is free unless explicitly stated. Medical procedures, hospital fees, lab tests, medications, and any third-party services are paid directly to the clinic or provider. Any optional logistics services (transfers, accommodation booking) may be billed by MDE Care SAS at agreed rates. All quotes are estimates and subject to change based on the patient's medical evaluation.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies for medical procedures and accommodations are set by the respective clinic, hotel, or provider. MDE Care will assist in coordinating cancellations but cannot guarantee refunds. Any consultation or coordination fees paid directly to MDE Care SAS are non-refundable once services have been rendered.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site (text, graphics, logos, photos, the MDE Care brand and trademark) is the property of MDE Care SAS or its content providers and is protected by Colombian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

External Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (clinics, hotels, airlines, partners). MDE Care SAS does not control these sites and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or services.

Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal and health information.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute arising from your use of the Site or our services will be resolved exclusively before the competent courts of Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
